Secures Your Oil Drum From Would Be Oil Theives!
A drum of oil is only as secure as the locking mechanism that's in place. That's where we think this
locking lid really shines! We went to great lengths to design a lid that'll make thieves look elsewhere!
We start off using a heavy grade drum lid, then add a heavy duty locking drum ring with a heavy duty bolt.
The ring isn't your average flimsy ring either. It's a much heavier duty drum ring than
standard! The ring wraps around the drum lid and the lip on your drum
locking it completely together. Added to the locking ring is a massive 5/8" threaded bolt.
Also, unlike other locking drum lids that only contact the drum top on a few contact points, our locking
ring secures the lid all the way around the drum top giving it complete coverage around the entire top of the drum
which means the oil is a lot more likely to stay secured!
Next, we add a thick gauge steel pipe that's slotted perfectly to fit over the bolt blocking access to the
bolt head. A padlock can then be inserted into the pre-drilled holes on the pipe and the drum is now secured!
Even if a would be thief can turn the bolt on the other side, the bolt head is blocked by the padlock
making it impossible to unscrew the ring. This means your oil stays locked tight inside your drum!
Massive Drum Opening
If you've ever dumped hot grease into a drum, you'll be able to really appreciate the incredible
opening welded into the top of the locking drum lid!
Instead of making the opening square like other locking lids on the market, we made it round making it a lot
easier to pour oil into. However, we didn't stop there, we figured if a round hole is nice, a bigger hole
is even better! So, we pulled out all the stops and made the opening as wide as we could!
In fact, we went to great lengths to get the opening as close to the
edge of the drum lid as possible. This resulted in an opening
18" across to give you the largest opening available of any locking drum lid on the market!
Next, we figured an opening is only as good as the ability to access it, so we made the lid swing
as far open as possible. This means the lid gets out of your way giving you the full benefit of that massive opening.
Heavy Duty Lid Hinge
We recently upgraded this great drum lid to include a heavy duty lid cover hinge. We start off with two heavy duty brackets
that get welded to the lid cover. The brackets then get mounted to a heavy duty pin that's welded right to
the side of the drum lid! The brackets are even cut in such a way that they rest right on the outer edge of the drum lid
when the cover is all the way open giving it a sturdy base to rest on.
With this heavy duty hinge set up, the lid stays securely in place and swings
in a nice, smooth fashion. You'll love the rugged design and the heavy duty feel that it offers!
Superior Filtering Grate
Ever dumped oil into a filter grate only to have it plug up & flow over the top? Yeah, we hate that too so we gave our filtering
grate extra large 1/2" holes. Also, instead of creating holes only on the bottom of the filtering grate, we added
holes to the side too. This means oil can flow both sideways AND downward into the drum resulting in much faster flow rates.
Another area we improved on was making the filtering grate nice and deep.
The grate itself is over 5" deep from top to bottom! It extends down into the drum over 3"
and rises above the lid just over 2" giving you lots and lots of room for the oil to flow through.
With the extra large holes, a wide opening, and a deep filtering grate, you'll be able to quickly dump
all your fryer oil into the drum, keep it from splashing back out at you, and filter it really fast!
Easily Attaches To Drums!
The locking lids can easily attach to any 23" diameter open top drum with a lip on the top for the locking
ring to secure to. Just place the lid on top of your drum, attach the locking drum ring, tighten the bolt,
slide the bolt lock into place, attach a lock and your drum is secure!
Want to keep your oil drum from growing legs & disappearing in the middle of the night? Just add a chain to the lock!
Powdercoated In Flat Black
Based on feedback from customers over the years, we found that flat black works the best to hide grease and oil stains
on drum lids. This means a nicer looking drum lid than the competition over time giving your setup a more
professional look and feel.
Also, before the lids are powder coated, we take the extra step of getting the entire lid sandblasted.
This makes the powder coating adhere to the drum lid extremely well and results in a much more durable finish.

Custom Filter Baskets
Need to filter on site? These custom made stainless steel filter baskets are a great addition to our locking drum lids!
They're made from heavy duty 304 stainless steel mesh and are reinforced with a stainless band around the top and bottom
edge of the filter and include a handle built into the top for easy removal.
The stainless filter mesh is mounted to the bottom and side of the filter basket, so you'll enjoy extra fast filtering
as oil can go through the bottom as well as the sides of the filter! Clean up is a breeze! Simply remove the filter, dump the
scraps, and hose it off with hot water and its ready to go again! It's also dishwasher safe as well!
They're made exactly like our Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Drum Filters, so they're
ready for all the oil you can throw at them and built to last! They're currently available in 600 micron, but we can make them
in just about any micron rating required. Contact us for a quote on other micron sizes.
To include a filter with your lid, choose the filter basket option below!
It has a 2" diameter opening and includes a locking screw on cap that can be secured to the port
with the pad lock clasps. The locking port is powder coated the same color as the drum lid however,
we've left the threads on the bottom uncoated so that you can easily attach a pipe on the other side.
If selected, we'll cut a hole out of the grate and ensure that the port fits perfectly and can be bolted
in place. We then remove the locking port & package it in a separate box with the bolt lock cover.
