Justin in Australia has been brewing for a while and recently bought one of our 6″ x 19″ Stainless Steel 300 Micron Brewing Filters along with some stainless steel corny keg dry hoppers too!
He’s been enjoying the filters and sent in these great pictures of his setup. He said the filters worked great! He loved how fast we were able to get the filters to him too in Australia, loved how well they worked, and was really pleased with how it’s helped him improve his brewing!
He uses a Blichmann 20 gallon boil kettle with his 6″ x 19″ 300 Micron Hop Spider. He let the filter sit about 4 cm from the bottom of his pot when it sits on the side of the kettle.
He also used a long bar-b-que skewer to hang the filter right in the center of the kettle as well and said he had great results.
Check out what he had to say about how well it worked…
“I’m really liking how easy the hop filter makes things, especially with a hoppy IPA that has multiple additions throughout the boil. We did a 10 gallon batch and used around 400g of hops in the boil and it was so easy. Cleanup was a breeze.”
