biodieselSmarter was published by Frankie Abralind between March 2007 and December 2009.
Articles were written by some of the best Biodiesel brewers out there and were always
packed with great tips & tricks and insightful real world knowlege that could be put
into action immediately.
Published quarterly, the magazine concentrated on 3 main themes; Safety, Sustainability, and Quality.
Each issue was jam-packed with incredible articles on everything from cutting edge brewing techniques
to incredible case studies on folks doing incredible things with Biodiesel! Even now, there's
things you'll learn that'll still keep you brewing Biodiesel with style!
Also included were updates on Biodiesel conferences that surrounded this great industry
at the time along with great articles and details on the latest developments among several prominent Biodiesel brewing
groups such as the Piedmont Biofuels Coop! Things like creating a biofilter for disposing of wash water,
involving Biodiesel on the farm with kids, how diesel engines are effected by Biodiesel and more!
For small to large operations, this magazine was awesome! You won't find it jam-packed
with paid articles by vendors wanting their products to stand out. Instead you'll find down to earth,
honest-to-goodness, down & dirty details about brewing Biodiesel and the techniques & tricks discovered to do it
quicker, easier, safer and better! As an added bonus you'll be learning about all the movers & shakers surrounding
Biodiesel production; all while enjoying a great read!
If you've been making Biodiesel for very long and following the movement, some of these great contributors

While biodieselSmarter is no longer published, several of the back issues are still available with content relevant just
as much today as when they were published. They're available separately or as a complete package (see below for details).
Also, in January 2010, biodieselSmarter released a map of every B100 Biodiesel filling station available in the United States
at that time. It covers the entire 48 continental United States plus Hawaii. Each stations name, address, and phone number is listed
in an easy to read format making it a great traveling companion for your cross country road trips!
When it's completely laid open it stretches to a gorgeous 22" tall by 34" wide and folds down to a convenient 8 1/2" x 11" size. It
makes a great wall poster, traveling companion, and even a great piece of history of the Biodiesel movement! It can be purchased
separately or as part of the set of back issues.
The map also includes great tips & tricks for using B100 in a diesel engine including issues with temperature, materials compatibility,
and solvency of the fuel. Also included are quotes from Biodiesel producers from across the country including why people love B100,
cool stories about why people got into Biodiesel and trivia about this great renewable fuel! Pick yours up today!
